This policy explains what personal information HNA Group collects when you request a quote, contact us or browse this website, how we use it, who we share it with, and how you can access or correct it.
Effective 1 July 2026 · Last updated 1 July 2026
This website is operated by HNA Group Pty Ltd (ABN 59 644 632 440), an Australian veteran-owned manufacturer and supplier of hydraulic fluid injection prevention tooling, burst protection sleeving, PPE and measurement equipment, based in Mackay, Queensland. In this policy, "HNA Group", "we", "us" and "our" refer to HNA Group Pty Ltd.
We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the 13 Australian Privacy Principles. This policy applies to information collected through this website (hnagroup.com.au) and through our dealings with customers, suppliers and enquirers generally.
Because we supply on a quote-only basis to businesses, most of the information we hold is business contact information. Depending on how you deal with us, we may collect:
| Contact details | Name, company or site name, job role, email address, phone number, and postal or delivery address. |
|---|---|
| Enquiry and quote details | The products you add to a quote request, quantities, machine makes and models, fleet or site details, and anything else you tell us about your requirement. |
| Transaction records | Quotes, purchase orders, invoices, delivery records, warranty and service history. |
| Correspondence | Emails, contact form submissions, and notes of phone conversations. |
| Website data | IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, referring site, and the date and time of your visit. This is generally collected in aggregate and is not used to identify you personally. |
We do not collect sensitive information such as health information, and we do not ask for it. We do not knowingly collect information from children. This is a business-to-business site.
If you give us personal information about someone else, for example a colleague's details on a purchase order, please make sure they know you have done so and that they can read this policy.
We use personal information only for the purpose it was collected for, or for a directly related purpose you would reasonably expect. That includes:
We do not sell, rent or trade personal information.
This website uses cookies, which are small text files stored by your browser. We use them for two things.
Pages on this site may also embed content from third parties, including Google Maps and YouTube. Those services may set their own cookies and are governed by their own privacy policies, not ours.
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may stop the quote request function from working.
We disclose personal information only where it is necessary, and only to:
We require our service providers to handle personal information consistently with this policy and to use it only for the purpose we engaged them for.
Some of the platforms we rely on store or process data outside Australia. Our website hosting and analytics providers, for example, operate infrastructure in the United States and other countries. Some of the products we resell are manufactured overseas, and a warranty claim may need to be referred to the manufacturer in their country.
Before disclosing personal information overseas we take reasonable steps to ensure the recipient handles it in a way consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles.
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. These include access controls on our systems, encrypted connections to this website, restricting staff access to what each person needs to do their job, and using reputable hosting and software providers.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. While we work hard to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security, and information you send us by email travels at your own risk.
We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected, or for as long as the law requires us to. Records relating to a sale, a quote or a warranty are generally kept for at least seven years to meet our tax and record-keeping obligations. When information is no longer needed, we destroy or de-identify it.
You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and you can ask us to correct it if it is wrong, out of date or incomplete. Get in touch through our contact page.
We will respond within a reasonable time, usually within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity first. If we cannot give you access, or we decline to make a correction, we will tell you why in writing and explain how to complain.
There is no fee for making a request. If a request is complex and we need to charge for the cost of retrieving records, we will tell you the amount before we start.
We may occasionally send existing and prospective customers product updates, new product releases or safety information relevant to their equipment. Every marketing email we send includes an unsubscribe link, and we act on unsubscribe requests promptly.
You can also tell us at any time that you do not want to receive marketing communications by contacting us through the contact page. Opting out of marketing does not stop us from contacting you about a quote, an order or a warranty matter.
If we become aware of a data breach that is likely to result in serious harm to anyone whose information we hold, we will assess it promptly, take steps to contain it, and notify the affected individuals and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner as required under the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.
If you think we have mishandled your personal information or breached the Australian Privacy Principles, tell us first. Contact us through the contact page with the details of your concern. We will acknowledge your complaint, investigate it, and give you a written response, normally within 30 days.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you can take the matter to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner:
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or in the law. The current version is always published on this page, with the effective date shown at the top. Material changes will be highlighted on the site.
For any question about this policy, or to request access to or correction of your personal information, get in touch with HNA Group Pty Ltd (ABN 59 644 632 440), Mackay, Queensland.
